
Sweet Charity is a musical that debuted on Broadway in 1966. The Music is composed by Cy Coleman and they lyrics were written by Dorothy Fields and a book by Neil Simon. Sweet Charity is based off Frederico Fellini's movie Nights of Cambria. In 1967 Sweet Charity also ran on the west end. In 1969 Sweet Charity was made into a movie and Shirley Maclaine starred as Charity. John McMartin recreated his Broadway role and Bob Fosse directed and Choreographed the film.
